Stop Corona

The Government declared borders to be reopened from the beginning of September 2020. Our clients should comply with some measures we have taken to avoid Covid-19 further spreading. We require to apply social distancing and wearing a face mask when this is necessary and at all instances when it is not possible to keep at least a 1.5m distance.

At the lodge we have a lot of space on the beach and the restaurant areas and we have also taken measures to guarantee hygiene while our staff that is in direct contact with the clients should wear face protection masks. We advise our guests to travel the same or next day of arrival by plane or boat to Moheli and on the way back eventually leave Moheli the same day as the departing international flight so to spend as little time as possible in more populated areas.

It is not authorized to invite other people to enter the lodge or to organise meetings of any kind inside our premises.

Unfortunately scuba diving is not possible at this moment.

Travel conditions valid on 24 October 2020.

The Government publishes regular updates about the Covid-19 measures taken and conditions for entry on the following website Stop Corona Virus

Arriving passengers are required to present a Covid-negative certificate that is not older than 72 hours.

For departing passengers some airlines (at this moment Kenya Airways when flying via Nairobi) require a Covid-negative certificate not older than 72 hours. Ethiopian Airlines doesn’t require a Certificate. At this moment, tests can only be taken in Moroni (building of “Projet PALU” – telephone +269 488 47 62 – Dr. Hafidu). Samples are collected in the morning until 11AM latest and results will be available the following day in the evening or two days later. The price of the Covid-19 test is fixed at EUR60 per person. This means that on your return you will need to stay at least two (2) days in Moroni before being able to fly out the same night (for example Kenya Airways flight departing 01:40AM) or the next day. Make sure to obtain update information when you arrive in the Comoros and before your departure.

The above information is not offical and can change without further notice. Always double check with your airline and with the authorities of your country of origin for latest updates. Moheli Laka Lodge cannot be held responsable in any event and is not always informed about the latest decisions.
